What are your workarounds costing you?
Re-typing the same information, building the Monday report by hand, chasing approvals by email. Put in roughly how much time it takes and see what it adds up to over a year.
What it adds up to
Example: 3 people, 5 hours a week each, $35 an hour, 50 weeks, 10% rework.
- Hours per year
- 825
- Cost per year
- $28,875
- Cost over 3 years
- $86,625
A focused first-phase system typically runs $10,000–$25,000, once.
The formula: people × hours per week × weeks per year × (1 + rework %) = hours per year; hours per year × cost per hour = cost per year.
Bring these numbers to a free 30-minute callReading the result honestly
- Not every hour comes back. A good system removes most of the re-keying, not all of the work around it.
- The figure leaves out what is harder to count: errors that reach a customer, the person who becomes the only one who knows how it works, and the decisions made on last week’s numbers.
- If the yearly cost is small, the honest answer may be a better spreadsheet, or an off-the-shelf tool. You will hear that in the first conversation.
