Mobile app development in Tampa Bay
iOS and Android apps for customers, members or field staff — design, build, both stores, and the updates after launch.
Getting an app built is the easy half. Keeping it in the stores is what catches people out: Apple and Google change their requirements, OS versions move underneath you, and an app nobody maintains eventually stops being installable. Submission and maintenance are part of the work here rather than a line item that appears later — the church app above has been through both stores and is still being updated.
A good fit, and not a fit
Worth a conversation
- A process you can point to — the spreadsheet, the email chain or the workaround your team repeats every week.
- An established business, where the people who feel the problem can get the person who decides into the conversation.
- You want the system built properly AND looked after once it is running.
Not what we do
- Replacing an ERP, an accounting package or a clinical record system outright. We build around those, not instead of them.
- A ten-day miracle app. Work that size takes longer than that, and we would rather say so now than halfway through.
- Staff augmentation for a large in-house team. PiTech scopes, builds and maintains whole projects; it does not rent out developers.
- “We need AI” with no problem attached to it yet. Bring the problem and we can talk about whether it needs AI at all.
What we build
- One app, both stores
iOS and Android from one codebase, drawn to match your website rather than looking like a different company wrote it.
- Submitted, and kept submitted
Store accounts, listings, the review process and release management on both platforms — under the Pi Consultants accounts if you do not have your own.
- Field and staff apps, not only customer apps
Checklists, photos, signatures and job details for people working away from a desk, feeding the same system the office uses.
- The same data as your web system
One account and one database behind the app and the web, so what changes in one changes in the other. That is what the church project is.
How the work runs
- 01 Free consultation Free · about 30 minutes
Show us the workflow or the problem. We ask questions and tell you whether custom software is worth exploring — or whether something simpler would do.
- 02 Discovery, when needed Paid · agreed in advance
Larger or less certain projects start here. We map the workflow properly and write it up as a specification: what the system does, for whom, how it connects and in what phases. Its scope, deliverables and fee are agreed before it starts, and you keep the specification whether or not we build it.
- 03 Proposal & agreed build Quoted against the scope
A clear written proposal: what will be built, in what phases, by when and for how much. Once it is agreed, the figure you approve is the figure you pay; anything new is quoted separately rather than absorbed quietly into the timeline.
- 04 Launch & ongoing support Optional
After launch we can host and maintain it — updates, security patches, store submissions and changes as your business moves — or deploy it to a cloud account you own. Support is optional, and you can stop it whenever it stops being worth paying for.
What a paid discovery can cover
- Workflow mapping
- Requirements
- User roles and permissions
- Integrations
- Technical architecture
- UX planning
- Scope and project phases
- Estimated timeline
- Budget
- A written specification you keep
Questions about app development in Tampa Bay
Do you build for both iOS and Android?
Yes. The St. Reweis app is live on the App Store and Google Play, and features land on both. If you only need one to start, say so early; it changes the scope, not the approach.
Do you handle App Store and Google Play submission?
Yes: developer accounts, listings, the review process and release management on both. If you do not have store accounts, it can go out under the Pi Consultants accounts. Keeping it in the stores afterwards is part of the care plan, not a surprise.
Should I build an app, or is a mobile website enough?
Often a website or web application is enough, and we will say so. An app earns its place when people need an account, notifications, a camera, or a tool they open every week — not a brochure in the App Store.
What does a mobile app cost?
The first conversation is free. After it, you get a written proposal for the app; if it needs detailed planning first, that is a paid discovery whose scope, deliverables and fee are agreed before it starts. Hosting, updates and store submissions are covered by an optional monthly care plan.
What areas do you cover?
Based in the Tampa Bay area — the business is in Valrico, Florida — and on-site across Land O Lakes, Odessa, Wesley Chapel, Lutz and Tampa. We work with businesses throughout Florida and nationwide; most of the work happens over a screen share wherever you are.
Who will I actually be working with?
Mina, the founder, from the first conversation through launch and the updates after it. No sales-to-developer handoff, and no account manager rereading your file.
We will also tell you honestly if you do not need an app. A well-built web application solves a large share of what people ask an app for, at a fraction of the cost — and if that is your answer, we would rather build you that. When an app genuinely earns its place, it ships to both stores and gets maintained in both.

A short conversation, no charge. If the honest answer is that you do not need an app, you will get that answer then rather than after a proposal.
You’ll hear directly from PiTech, typically the same business day.
