Custom software built around the way your business actually operates.
Internal systems, customer and employee portals, dashboards and workflow tools that replace spreadsheets, duplicate entry and disconnected software.
Most businesses do not need custom software for everything. They need it for the one or two processes the off-the-shelf tools never quite fit — the ones currently held together with spreadsheets, email threads and one person who remembers how it all works. That is where custom software earns its cost: one system shaped around the work you already do, instead of your team bending around a product designed for somebody else.
Problems this solves
- Operations run from spreadsheets Solution: Custom operations portal One system of record with the stages, rules and permissions your process actually has.
- The same data typed in twice Solution: Integrations & automation Information entered once, and moved between systems without anyone re-keying it.
- Customers calling for updates Solution: Customer portal Status, documents, approvals and payments where customers can find them themselves.
- Paper and PDF forms Solution: Digital workflows Forms that validate as they are filled in, route to the right person and file themselves.
- Reports built by hand Solution: Live management dashboards Figures calculated from the source, current whenever someone looks.
- Staff working in the field Solution: Mobile & field applications Jobs, checklists, photos and signatures on a phone, feeding the office in real time.
- Several locations, several ways of working Solution: Centralized operations platform One way of working at every site, and one view of all of them.
- Software that does not talk to each other Solution: API integrations Your existing tools connected, with failures that raise an alert instead of drifting.
What we build
- Internal operations systems
The system of record for the work itself — jobs, cases, orders, requests or projects — with the stages, rules and hand-offs your business actually uses.
- Customer portals
Somewhere customers can see status, upload documents, sign, pay or ask, instead of calling and emailing to find out.
- Employee and field portals
Tools for the people doing the work, on a desktop or a phone: today’s tasks, checklists, forms, photos and notes that land in the right record straight away.
- Management dashboards
Live figures pulled from the system itself, so the weekly report stops being something a person assembles by hand.
- Workflow and approval systems
Requests, approvals and escalations that route themselves to the right person and leave a record of who decided what.
- The connections that hold it together
Integrations with your accounting, CRM, calendar and industry software, so information is entered once.
A good fit, and not a fit
Worth a conversation
- A process you can point to — the spreadsheet, the email chain or the workaround your team repeats every week.
- An established business, where the people who feel the problem can get the person who decides into the conversation.
- You want the system built properly AND looked after once it is running.
Not what we do
- Replacing an ERP, an accounting package or a clinical record system outright. We build around those, not instead of them.
- A ten-day miracle app. Work that size takes longer than that, and we would rather say so now than halfway through.
- Staff augmentation for a large in-house team. PiTech scopes, builds and maintains whole projects; it does not rent out developers.
- “We need AI” with no problem attached to it yet. Bring the problem and we can talk about whether it needs AI at all.
How the work runs
- 01 Workflow consultation Free · about 30 minutes
Show us the workflow or the problem. We ask questions and tell you whether custom software is worth exploring — or whether something simpler would do.
- 02 Discovery & specification Paid engagement
Where there is a strong fit, we map the workflow properly and write it up as a specification: what the system does, for whom, how it connects, what it costs and when. You keep it whether or not we build it.
- 03 Fixed-scope build Quoted against the spec
The build is quoted and scheduled against the specification, so the figure you approve is the figure you pay. Anything new is quoted separately rather than absorbed quietly into the timeline.
- 04 Launch & care Optional monthly plan
Launch, then hosting, updates, security patches, store submissions and changes as your business moves. Whoever built it maintains it, and you can stop the plan whenever it stops being worth paying for.
What Discovery & Specification can cover
- Workflow mapping
- Requirements
- User roles and permissions
- Integrations
- Technical architecture
- UX planning
- Scope and project phases
- Estimated timeline
- Budget
- A written specification you keep
Questions about custom software
How is custom software different from buying another SaaS tool?
A SaaS product is built around the average customer’s process; custom software is built around yours. If a product fits your process well, buy it — it is usually cheaper. Custom makes sense when the process is specific to how you operate, when it spans several tools, or when the workarounds already cost real hours every week.
How much does custom software cost?
It depends on the workflow, which is why the first conversation is free and the second step is a paid Discovery & Specification. That produces a written scope, phases, timeline and budget. The build is then quoted at a fixed price against that specification.
How long does it take?
A focused first phase is usually measured in weeks to a few months, not years. Large systems are split into phases so something useful is running early. The specification gives you a timeline before any build is billed.
Will it work with the software we already use?
Usually, where the other vendor offers API access. Some offer complete, documented access; some offer very little. We check what your specific systems allow during discovery, before anything is quoted.
Who will we actually work with?
Mina Habashy, the founder, from discovery through launch and support. No sales-to-developer handoff and no revolving account managers — the person who scoped it is the person who builds and maintains it.
What custom software is not: a reason to replace your accounting package, your clinical record or the industry platform your team already relies on. The most useful systems sit beside those and remove the manual work between them. And if off-the-shelf software will genuinely do the job, you will hear that before you spend anything.

Bring the spreadsheet, the email chain or the workaround. We’ll tell you plainly whether custom software is worth exploring — and if it isn’t, what we would do instead.
You’ll hear directly from PiTech, typically the same business day.
